Invitation
Rose Bowl Competition 2003
*Sponsored by 3M*
Competition Overview
-
Each team will be asked to play one match on a Friday evening.
All other matches (unless re-scheduled) will be on either Monday or Wednesday
evenings.
-
Playing matches on a Friday will allow each team to play an additional
fixture. Therefore, for the same entry fee of £75, each
team will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches instead of 3.
-
To facilitate
this extra fixture, the preliminary round will be made up of
two leagues of four teams playing on a ‘conference’ basis.
-
Teams
in league A will play teams in league B and not teams in their
own league.
-
Semi finals matches will be made up of the top two teams of each
league in a play-off to decide the league winner. That is the top
team of league
A will play the team second in league A. The winner will
proceed to the final. Likewise for league B.
-
Both play-off matches will be played
on Sunday 3rd August 2003.
-
The final will be played on Sunday 24th August.
-
All other rules will
be as 2002 competition.
-
The competition will start on Wednesday 4th
June 2003.
