WHY DO YOU TRAVEL SO FAR TO PLAY ON A THURSDAY NIGHT: Oh, so many reasons - from the friendliness and camaraderie of the Bedworth fixtures, the opportunity to use such a fantastic batting surface at Haunchwood, the picture postcard setting that is Newdigate, the bar at Alderman Smith, the sheer splendour of Ansley and of course the quick-witted repartee of those hilarious Hinckley Amateurs boys. And of course there’s the chirpy Alcock brothers at Atherstone with their joie de vivre. The league has got it all!
