Killer for Miller as Pigeon-loft Goes
Tears
were shed in the Miller household last week when it was announced that
the family pigeon loft was to be demolished.
Father of the house Ian Miller has long been a keen pigeon-fancier,
but it is son Alan, 16, who was most mortified by the decision to axe
the long established bird-rearing outbuilding. While the reasons for
the removal of the loft still remain unclear, the move has bought heartache
for teen-tugster Alan, popularly known as Windy to his friends.
The promising all-rounder spent many hours in there on his own after
school, and virtually lived in there when his parents were away on holiday.
It is thought that the talented sportsman used to peruse magazines he
found in local hedges.
Once, after vanishing for three days, his best mate Geraint Thomas found
him with stuck fast to the floor with his trousers around his ankles
apparently having a "funny turn" when reading an article on
classic cars in the renowned publication Big Jugs Monthly.
We tried to find Miller for his reaction to such a scandalous accusation
but he had been locked in the bathroom with some "homework" since
arriving home from college at three thirty, six weeks ago.
