Which
Pub do you run? I run and partly own the Gate Inn at
Ratcliffe Culey with Mr. Pastry, who gave me my big break.
It is a very fine drinking establishment and serves an excellent variety
of hot and cold food along with some quality real ales but
the
cider's
a bit ropey.
Achievements: I won the Unfair Play trophy three years running
in the 1990's. They could have let me keep it though, Brazil in the
World Cup were allowed to keep the Jules Rimet trophy after they
won it three times, mine were back to back wins so really I should
have been allowed to keep it. That's the trouble with the club -
double standards - you do all this work and no-one listens. Look
at when the seekers said no bottles and then Kimbo has a bottle in
Bedworth club, nobody bothers, what they should do is make it more
fair and punish offenders properly but they let people off like Wongy.
And then you try to put the boundary markers out and they only go
and mark two lines out so you don't know which one to use, and then
you end up with a long boundary to have to field on. If you don't
get that then you end up having to bowl to a short boundary - either
way it's ridiculous. If it's in between then it's still no better.
You might as well have it long or short - it's just stupid.
