How about some memories from the past Chairman as he sits in splendid isolation in Wales, surounded by sheep making him feel very twitchy in the groin region.

1. Biggest psychological victory - Atherstone v Offchurch

Two bitter rivals come head to head in an encounter which will see Atherstone achieve yet another promotion.
Pakistan import faces hostile bloater in a contest which sees the Adders chasing in the region of 170 to win
Solid start, yours truly gets given out caught behind and not too happy.
Dusk descends on Ratcliffe Road and in a brilliant finish, new recruit Brian Thompson leads the team home with a four down to the farm.
Fucking brilliant!!!

2. Atherstone v Sphinx.

Another eagerly anticipated encounter as the later to be West Indian bowler Marlon Black comes up against our import Waheed Niazi.
Atherstone make a solid start, Alcock runs out the chairman, nothing new there, and we reach about the 180 mark on another great batting pitch. We really don't think its enough.
The bowlers tie them dowm and Black faces Niazi in the last over. We don't get him, they don't make the 5 needed to win and honours are even.
Probably the best game of cricket I've played in 20 years.

3. Warwickshire v the Bunburys.

A great day for the club when Paul Smith brings the Bears to town.
Compliments all around and ex West Indian Roger Harper declares "I wish I could play here every week!" The club really puts itself on the map when the BBC's Nick Owen tells everyone about his catch at Atherstone on the Monday news.
Sun shone, we made a few quid and we all got drunk and crawled home afterwards.

So many great memories.
Believe me when I say that you do not really know what youve got until its gone.
The club is a great set up and I am delighted that everything is continuing to go from strength to strength.

Keep on seeking
