A Day in the Life

<<Back to A Day in the Life

Our brand new feature kicks off with a look at Mat "Robidoux" Jones' typical day...

"I get up in the morning about nine a.m. and pop down to McDonald's for a breakfast. I will later go back home and jolt for most of the day. Once a month, I will attend my college class for an hour as some failed clown tells me how to add two single digit numbers together.

During the cricket season, things are different. I will have two breakfasts at McDonald's with an extra egg McMufffin and then I will make my way to the cricket club where I will strut around the car park with my shirt off, talking on my mobile phone. Later I will field and occasionally bat before heading off to play with myself in the showers. Three hours later I will emerge and moan for half an hour about having to pay my match fee.

From here I will normally go and enjoy a night out in Atherstone with my friends - I don't like Atherstone but during the cricket season I often find myself going there. I will drink two bottles of Budweiser and a Brew dash before going off to eat some chips and moaning about the pace that everyone else is drinking at.

Sometimes, we will play on a quiz machine but as I am stupid, I will wait until we have built up a healthy pot of money before diving in with the most ridiculous answer available to effectively ruin our chances of winning anything. We might have a game of pool, which I enjoy because it enables me to take something far too seriously and then we will retire to Bertie's Bar in Atherstone. They have a late licence and if the doors are shut then I can get us in because like everyone else in Atherstone, I know Shacky! I know him!!"
