Adders Keep Unbeaten Record
Saturday 11th June
Atherstone
remain undefeated and have climbed to second place in the League
after recording a fine 5 wicket victory at Marston Green – another
solid all round team performance ensured the Adders excellent start
to the season was maintained.

Dominant Performance in Local Derby
Saturday 4th June
Atherstone
continued their impressive start to the season, claiming 15 points
from their drawn game with local rivals North Warwickshire on
Saturday after dominating most of the contest and falling only 2
wickets short of victory.

Monday 30th May
Atherstone
completed an excellent Bank Holiday weekend with a winning draw over
Olton at Ratcliffe Road on Monday and they came within a couple of
difficult dropped catches of a second win in 3 days.

ATCC Net Sessions
Atherstone Cricket Club begin their preparations for the 2005 season with the first of 7 practice sessions at Warwickshire's Edgbaston Cricket Centre on Monday 24th January (7pm).
After surviving relegation by the skin of their teeth on the final day of the 2004 season, the 'Adders' will be looking for an improved performance in 2005 in what is sure to be a very competitive Warwickshire Premier League. Atherstone's recently released fixture schedule sees local derbies against North Warwickshire (4th June and 20th August) and Nuneaton (28th May and 6th August) with the campaign getting under way with a home game against Old Eds at Ratcliffe Road on Saturday 7th May.
Existing members who are able to attend the net sessions are asked to meet at the Cricket Centre at 630pm on the 24th. Any new members are welcome whilst anybody requiring further information can contact First Team Captain Vic Clements (07775 544534), 2nd team captain Ian Niblock (07786 074232) or Secretary Paul Oldham (01827 880781).

Saturday 1st XI Season Review
For the fourth time in their four years in the Warwickshire League
top flight, Atherstone went into their final run of games still
needing points to avoid relegation. After a disastrous Bank Holiday
weekend which saw defeats against both Aston Manor and Bedworth,
the Ratcliffe Road side seemed doomed to the drop and it appeared
only 2 wins in their last 2 games, and some help from elsewhere,
would suffice...

Saturday 1st XI Avoid the Drop!
Saturday 11th September
Atherstone completed an improbable ‘Houdini’ escape
act on the last day of the Warwickshire Premier League season, their
thumping 149-run win over title-chasing Kenilworth combined with
a defeat for Old Eds in their game at North Warwicks saw them leapfrog
Old Eds and avoid the relegation trapdoor at the very last opportunity.
